Four of the recommended backpacking books.
In recent years it seems like gear-centric websites, blogs and forums have been springing up faster than mushrooms after a fresh spring rain. Some of them offer good advice; others not so much.
The Resources section of The Hiking Life is my two cents worth in regards to gear companies, merchants and backpacking related texts and websites. I have had personal experience with all of the sources mentioned, and in regards to the books, each one of them has a place in my library at home.
